i've known this woman for going on 14 years. (which is half my life!) and it kind of freaks me out. she is the type of person who you can pick up with where you left off and never skip a beat. we hadn't seen each other in a few years, but it felt like no time had passed. (other than the 3 kids she has now!)

she recently started her own make-up artistry business, prettibloom artistry. but she has been doing hair and make-up for the past 10 years. i remember her cutting my hair (my first short cut, in fact!) in her parent's kitchen while i was in college and she was in beauty school. and now we are both working our butts off to make our own businesses a go.

this is just a preview from our shoot last week. she wanted something rustic and you can't tell from this photo, but i think we were able to capture it. this photo was more for me as i love straight on, centered, and deadpan. i am in love w/ the pops of orange in the background and how they compliment her shirt and lips. what a happy accident!

also, i don't know if you can tell, but this photo was taken with the iphone 5 and edited with vsco. i would never shoot a client with my phone, but shit. it's gettin' pretty good.
